Dr Mihail Comanoiu has been elected member of the new Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches (WCC), after having been nominated by the Romanian Orthodox Church. The new Commission was elected after the WCC General Assembly in Karlsruhe 2022. Dr Comanoiu was also elected as member of the Nicaea 2025 Steering Group of the Faith and Order Commission, which has the task to prepare its next World Conference in 2025. The first meeting of the new Faith and Order Commission will take place online on 5th September 2023.
