Monsignore Dr Nicholas Wyrwoll has been honoured by the Ecumenical Patriarchate as a "Friend of the Patriarchate and of Constantinople". Prelate Wyrwoll, Honorary President of the Study Centre St Nicholas for Eastern Churches, lives in Istanbul since many years and prays with the Christian communities living there.
