10. Study Days (anniversary edition)

We live in a time when there is little shared vision for the future in our Western societies. Yet the crises and challenges we face are huge and require common action. Instead, profound uncertainty, hopelessness and speechlessness characterise the public consciousness. Especially in such times, it is important to bring the Christian faith and its perspectives of hope into the public debate in a fresh, understandable and proactive way.

The creative and culture-shaping power of the Gospel has time and again become a resource for a renewal of culture and society and can continue to be so today. The Christian faith is able to lend depth, beauty and meaning to life when it is courageously and reflectively represented. This requires not only words but also visible signs that make the Good News tangible and concrete.

The 10th Fribourg Study Days on Theological, Cultural and Social Renewal explore the profile and potential of Christian witness in a plural world.

The tenth anniversary of the Study Days is organised in collaboration with the Centre for Cultural Witness (London) and the Taizé Community.
