    Description

A master thesis in the Master of Science in Environmental Sciences and Humanities serves to demonstrate the ability of a student to engage in an argumentative analysis of interdisciplinary challenges in environmental practice and governance from an ethical or humanist perspective. The thesis demonstrates independent research of a student leading to a scientific paper, ideally ready for handing in to a scientific journal. It documents the student’s acquired competencies in examining an issue or topic of environmental practice and governance following scientific standards.

    Objectifs de formation

Students deepen the content and concepts they have learned in Bachelor's and Master's courses through practical work on a research topic. Students learn how to independently develop and critically reflect on an environmental ethics problem. Students also learn the basics of writing and presenting scientific papers. After completing the research work, the students are able to explain, present and defend their own research work to peers.
