First edition of the Open Cores Day
The inaugural Open Cores Day served as an excellent opportunity to connect current and future scientists with the university’s research core facilities. It showcased high-tech instrumentation and fostered collaboration among core facility staff. Attendance was evenly split between core facility personnel and scientists.
In the morning, the core facilities were introduced through short talks and poster sessions. The afternoon was entirely dedicated to guided tours of the various core facilities.
An additional outcome of the event was the release of the new Research Core Facility Booklet, which presents essential information about the shared research instrumentation available on campus in a compact format.
