Noémie Soom-Chardonnens
Deputy Secretary General
Noémie Soom-Chardonnens has been Deputy Secretary General since 1 January 2023. She holds a doctorate in medieval literature from the Universities of Lausanne and Paris 3, and held various academic positions at the Universities of Lausanne, Düsseldorf and Louvain-la-Neuve before joining the University of Fribourg in 2020 as a research associate attached to the General Secretariat and the Rectorate, a position she held until December 2022.
In this role, she develops projects and analytical bases for the Secretary General and the Rectorate, leads institutional projects, prepares and monitors strategic dossiers and supports the Secretary General and the members of the Rectorate in their tasks. She is also responsible for the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Office and the secretariat of the Rectorate.
