M.A. Visual Antrhopology

I am a PhD student and assistant researcher for the Department of Geoscience at the University of Fribourg.

After graduating from my Bachelors at the University of Sussex in Anthropology and International Relations, I specialised in a Masters in Visual Anthropology at the University of Manchester.

My masters thesis looked at the socio-cultral and economic impacts of retreating glaciers on the local population of the Val D'Ayas in the Valle D'Aosta (Western Alps). My research was based on the use of visual methodologies as a research tool and as an output for the research.

For my PhD thesis, I plan to continue on from the topic of my masters thesis, and further explore the relationships between humans and glaciers in the rest of the villages surrounding the Monte Rosa massif.
