Angela Martin is co-author of a revised publication on ethical guidelines for animal experiments. In 1983, the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences (SAMW) and the Swiss Academy of Natural Sciences (SCNAT) jointly developed ethical principles and guidelines for animal experiments and published them as a code of conduct for animal research. These guidelines were revised in 1993 and 2005. After 20 years, a new revision has now been carried out in response to new scientific findings and research methods, as well as changes in the legal framework.
