Invasive alien species are a growing problem for local flora and fauna. However, in order to combat the phenomenon effectively, we need to develop a very detailed understanding of the mechanisms that govern the system. Lara Volery contributed to this work in her thesis, which has now earned her the Environmental Research Prize 2022 of the University of Fribourg.
