We welcome Shea McBride at the UniFR_ESH!

Shea received her BA in Philosophy from College of Charleston in 2013. Since then she earned three masters degrees: a MA in Applied Ethics (Linköping University), a MSc in Brain in Cognition (Pompeu Fabra University), and a MSc in Biodiversity, specialising in Evolutionary Biology (University of Barcelona). As a PhD student at the University of Fribourg Environmental Sciences and Humanities Institute, she is working as part of a research group aiming to develop ethical principles to guide environmental practice, with her case study focusing on biodiversity and alien species. In addition to pursuing the normative goals of this project, Shea is keen to collaborate on empirical studies investigating moral reasoning and ethical decision-making, particularly in the context of environmental dilemmas. We are happy to welcome her at the institute!
