Geometric Analysis

We use tools and techniques from analysis on metric spaces and geometric measure theory in a non-smooth setting to study questions from geometric analysis, metric geometry, and geometric group theory. Our areas of research include:

1. Calculus of variations in a non-smooth framework, in particular area and energy minimization problems.
2. Isoperimetric problems, with applications to geometry and geometric group theory.
3. Mappings problems in subRiemannian and more general metric spaces.
