We are dedicated to excellence in teaching and research.

Students at our department benefit from a fostering and stimulating learning environment in a multilingual setting, where we value personal contact between teachers and students. The variety of our course offering is enhanced by our participation in the BeNeFri network, that grants access to courses at the Universities of Bern and Neuchâtel. Our doctoral students are integrated in the Swiss Doctoral Program in Mathematics.

Research at our institution covers various areas of pure and applied mathematics, and is enriched by several international partnerships and collaborations.
