Postdoc Welcome Event
Events for researchers who have recently joined the University of Fribourg as postdocs. These events introduce the resources and services available to postdoctoral researchers and provide an opportunity to meet other members of the community. They generally take place once a year, during the fall semester.
Postdoc Appreciation Week
A week dedicated to recognising the contributions of postdoctoral researchers and bringing the postdoctoral community together. The programme includes professional development activities, networking opportunities and informal events. The Postdoc Appreciation Week normally takes place during the third week of September.
Networking Activities
Informal events that provide opportunities to meet other postdoctoral researchers, exchange experiences and build connections across faculties and disciplines.
Career Development Courses
Courses and workshops designed to help postdoctoral researchers actively plan the next stages of their careers, whether within academia or beyond. Topics may include career planning, identifying professional opportunities, preparing applications and communicating skills and experience to different audiences.
Transferable Skills Courses
Courses aimed at developing skills that are valuable across academic and non-academic professional contexts. Topics may include communication, leadership, project management, collaboration and other competencies that support researchers in their current roles and future careers.
