This workshop provides detailed information for non-EU/EFTA citizens on:
- The legal status of PhD students and postdocs
- The requirements for obtaining a work permit
- Eligibility for unemployment benefits
After the workshop, participants will have a clearer understanding of their immigration status in Switzerland, whether as a student or a worker, helping them plan their next career steps.
Participants will learn about the federal legal framework for migration and the specific practices of the Canton of Fribourg. The requirements for obtaining a work permit will also be explained in detail.
Finally, the workshop will cover the conditions for receiving unemployment benefits, particularly relevant for those whose employment contract is about to expire.
