Career development plan
The Career Development Plan (CDP) is a tool designed to support postdoctoral researchers in taking an active and informed role in their professional development. It encourages reflection on progress, helps clarify career goals, and provides a structured way to plan next steps in skill development and professional ambitions.
Beyond self-reflection, the CDP also serves as a practical reference for meaningful conversations between postdoctoral researchers and their academic hosts. Regular discussions foster mutual understanding and help identify opportunities for growth.
To make the most of your postdoctoral phase, we strongly recommend completing your CDP and discussing it annually with your academic host or a mentor. This structured conversation can significantly enhance your professional development.
