The Institute of Federalism (IFF) welcomed on 10 2017 July, a delegation composed of community leaders from the Rakhine State of Myanmar. The delegation is in Switzerland to learn more about Swiss federalism and multiculturalism.

Dr. Nicolas Schmitt presented to the delegation the historical context of the Swiss state, and its modern organisation. Dr. Rekha Oleschak Pillai outlined the challenges of multiculturalism from a comparative perspective and the search for solutions.

The delegation was accompanied by representatives of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
