Jana Manferdini
Biography
I earned my bachelor’s degree in German Language and Literature and Educational Science (2023) and my master’s degree in Literary Studies and Educational Science (2026) at the University of Zurich.
In June 2026, I started my PhD on the SNFS-project «Narrating Variety: Biodiversity as a Paradigm of Transformation in Science and Literature.» In my dissertation, I examine how biodiversity is represented and portrayed in science, politics, and the media, as well as in literary texts.
My research interests include narratological approaches (econarratology) and, in particular, the intersection of feminist and ecological perspectives on concepts of care in contemporary literature.
