This course is for participants who have completed level A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Please only register if your level corresponds to the course. Participants of our partner institutions and Unifr employees can contact us to take a placement test if they are unsure of their level. Unifr students are automatically guided to the placement test when registering for a course on MyUnifr.

Target Audience
This course is open to all students and staff members of the University of Fribourg and its partner institutions.

Course contents and Teaching Method
The Grammar (written and oral) II course at the A2 level aims to help learners work on the grammatical points corresponding to the A2 level content of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The course is primarily based on practical exercises after the explanation of grammar rules. It strives to provide both written and oral exercises to be done individually, in pairs, or in groups.
Computer-based exercises with integrated feedback are also available.

Workload and Evaluation
This course requires regular work at home (approximately 1 hour per week).
To successfully complete the course, attendance of at least 80% of the sessions and passing the exams offered during the semester are mandatory.

For this course, you need to have the necessary documents, which can be found on Moodle.
No textbook needs to be purchased.

The Grammar (written and spoken) II level A2 objective course enables learners to work on the grammar points corresponding to level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The course is essentially based on practical exercises after grammatical rules have been explained. It tries to offer both written and oral exercises, to be done alone, in pairs or in groups.

You will also find exercises on the computer with built-in correction.

For each grammar point:

-a grammar sheet containing the essential points of the grammar rule, providing simple explanations accompanied by concrete examples, offering advice, strategies and comments on the French language in context.

-Implementation tools with systematisation exercises and application activities (written and oral).

The spring course in Grammar (written and oral) II level A2 will cover the following grammatical points:

• Possessive adjectives and pronouns (1 session)
• Demonstrative adjectives and pronouns (1 session)
• Simple relative clauses (que / qui / où) (2 sessions)
• The recent past (I've just eaten) and near future (I'm going to eat) (1 session)
• The simple future tense (1 lesson)
• The imperfect tense (1 session)
• The compound past tense (2 sessions)
• Present conditional (1 session)
