Target audience

This course is for participants who have at least completed level A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Please only register if your level corresponds to the course. If you are unsure of your level, please contact us to take a placement test.

Content

Target audience
This course is open to all students and staff of the University of Fribourg and partner institutions who are at A2 level (at least A2.1 completed) or B1 level.

Course contents and teaching method
In this course you will discuss in alternating small groups about topics of everyday life that you co-determine with the other participants (e.g. family, leisure, education and working life, hopes/dreams/plans, etc.).

Workload and evaluation
No preparation or follow-up is expected - but it is recommended. There is no evaluation in this course. Regular attendance is encouraged.

Materials
The working materials are provided (no need to purchase textbooks). In the Moodle room, after each lesson, you will find supplementary links to the topics covered as well as appropriate grammar or vocabulary exercises. The exercises in the Moodle room are optional, but highly recommended.

 

Goals

You can talk about familiar and routine situations and topics related to yourself, your immediate environment, and your personal interests. You will reduce speech blockages, gain confidence in oral expression and improve your fluency. You expand your vocabulary and reduce your speech accent.
