Term papers and diploma theses

Students interested in writing an academic work in Macroeconomics (Bachelor level) or in Monetary Theory and Policy (Master level) are asked to contact the Professor and/or the Chair's assistants in order to arrange an appointment to discuss the student's procedure and research project (topic, work plan, and bibliography) in more detail. At the time of this initial contact, the conditions for completing a Bachelor's or Master's thesis within the Chair are, in principle, as follows:

• Have taken and passed at least one of Professor Rossi's two Macroeconomics I and II courses at the Bachelor's level;
• Have obtained an aggregate average grade of 4.5 across these two exams;
• Propose a research question on a macroeconomic topic, preferably chosen from among the Chair's research topics;
• Should there be too many Bachelor's and Master's theses already being supervised, the Professor and assistants reserve the right to place new student requests on a waiting list.

The students are free to propose the subject of their Bachelor and Master theses. A list of topics is instead available for the term papers:

• Master thesis in Monetary Theory and Policy.
