This course explores the microeconomic foundations of macroeconomic analysis, and focuses on some major macroeconomic issues. It explains consumption, investment, and money demand functions through a number of sectoral studies that have been carried out over the last fifty years. It then focuses on inflation, unemployment, and economic growth, discussing macroecomic policies in each step of the analysis. Lectures are completed by workshops and exercices (every three weeks).
