Dr. Jun Zheng is Co-Founder and Managing Director of MEI & HAO SARL, a Switzerland-based boutique firm advising international clients on China-related cross-border commercial, investment, and complex regulatory matters. He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Fribourg and completed his legal education in both China and Switzerland, giving him a strong comparative, transnational, and interdisciplinary foundation.
A certified Chinese legal professional, Dr. Zheng began his career with leading international law firms in Shanghai and Zurich, where he advised on cross-border commercial transactions and international disputes. He later served as Legal Advisor at the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law, providing expert legal opinions and comparative law analyses to courts, government authorities, international organisations, companies, and private individuals. This experience has deeply influenced his analytical rigor and comparative approach to legal problem-solving.
Dr. Zheng’s practice focuses on cross-border M&A and corporate restructuring, international commercial and investment disputes, competition law, international tax planning, Swiss immigration law, and international family and inheritance law. He regularly advises multinational clients on legal risk management and transaction structuring in matters involving China and Europe.
Combining academic insight with practical experience, Dr. Zheng has published several academic books and peer-reviewed articles in private international law, comparative law, and cross-border transactions. He is a frequent speaker and moderator at international conferences and professional forums on international investment and dispute resolution, and integrates real-world case studies and comparative analysis into his teaching.
Dr. Zheng also acts as arbitrator and counsel in international arbitration proceedings. He is an active member of multiple professional associations, including the Swiss Arbitration Association (SAA), European Association of Private International Law (EAPIL), Chinese Society of Private International Law (CSPIL), Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce (SCCC), Association of International Business Lawyer (AIBL), and the Swiss Turnaround Association (STA)., and is fluent in Chinese, English, and French.
