Application Deadlines – Spring Semester 2027
Swiss nationals, Swiss residence permit holders and EU passport holders:
Applicants are encouraged to apply by 15 December 2026, preferably earlier, to secure their place in the program. Early applications also allow our admissions team to assess eligibility for Excellence Scholarships.
International applicants requiring a Swiss student visa:
Applicants who require a Swiss student visa should apply as early as possible, ideally by 30 November 2026. Visa processing can take 3–5 months, depending on the country of application. We provide visa application support to students who apply early.
Late Applications:
Applications submitted after these dates may still be accepted, provided students can obtain their visa before the semester begins on 22 February 2027. Alternatively, eligible students may begin their studies online while awaiting their visa and join classes in person upon arrival in Switzerland.
Visa Information for Non-EU Applicants
Applicants requiring a visa should begin their application process as early as possible. Visa processing may take between 3 to 5 months or longer, depending on the country of passport issuance.
Please note: A student visa can only be granted once all supporting documentation has been fully and correctly submitted to the relevant Swiss authorities. While IBL is not in a position to directly support individual visa applications, we are happy to refer admitted students to legal professionals with experience in student relocation to Switzerland upon request.
If your visa is not granted in time for the Spring Semester, you may:
- Begin the program online
- Defer your admission to the Fall Semester (September 2027)
