Dr Johannes Fahner is a Dutch-law qualified attorney practicing with LKK Arbitration in Geneva, specializing in investment arbitration, commercial arbitration, and sports arbitration. He has experience with major arbitration rules, including CAS, ICC, LCIA, NAI, SAC, UNCITRAL and ICSID, and has also acted before domestic courts and the Court of Justice of the EU. Johannes advised and represented clients in a wide range of industries, including banking, energy, media, sports, transportation and construction.
Johannes holds a PhD degree in Public International Law awarded jointly by the Universities of Amsterdam and Luxembourg, in addition to an MA in International Relations from the University of Utrecht and an LLM from the University of Amsterdam. He also studied at Université Panthéon-Assas in Paris and Columbia University in New York. Johannes’ academic research focuses on treaty interpretation, international dispute settlement, and the interaction between international and domestic legal orders.
