Dr Bernd Ehle is a partner at LALIVE in Geneva, where he specialises in international arbitration with a particular focus on complex disputes in the construction, infrastructure, and mining sectors. He has acted as counsel, arbitrator, and dispute board member in over 100 high-stakes proceedings governed by both civil and common law systems, under major arbitration rules including ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, and Swiss Rules.

 Dr Ehle holds a PhD in Law from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and an LL.M. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in Chicago, USA. His interdisciplinary and cross-border experience informs his nuanced approach to dispute resolution and contract strategy.

 He is a member of the Arbitration Court of the Swiss Arbitration Centre and serves on the Advisory Board of Africa Construction Law (ACL). A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), he also co-chairs the Construction Group of the German Arbitration Institute (DIS).
