Language Lab Catalogue

In the Language Lab, a large selection of self-study materials, for approximately 50 languages, can be found. For languages taught at the University of Fribourg (German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Romansh, Russian, Swiss German), as well as Arabic and Chinese, there is a particularly extensive and up-to-date collection. This includes self-study books (general, skill-specific, or subject-related), preparation materials for language certificates, dictionaries, simplified readings, magazines (Deutsch Perfekt, ECOS, écoute, ADESSO, Spotlight) and language-learning games. By means of the catalogue you are able to search specifically for appropriate resources.

Consultation and Borrowing

Materials can be used on-site in both Language Lab rooms. Except for magazines and games, which are foreseen for on-site use only, materials can be borrowed at the Circulation Desk in room Moléson (2.16). Borrowing requires creating a special user account for the Language Lab.

Catalogue of the Library of foreign languages and multilingualism (BLE)

In the BLE catalogue, you can search for different learning methods, e.g. for learning additional languages, expanding your existing learning methods, or finding resources that have already been borrowed from the media library.
