Projects to support
-
Warm meals / Mensa vouchers
With changing class schedules, student jobs, and an active social life, proper nutrition can easily fall by the wayside. Yet it’s a vital source of energy and helps combat fatigue.
The Mensa isn’t just about meals - it’s also a great place to meet others and build community, both of which are essential for student wellbeing and mental health.
Thanks to your support:
- you offer Mensa vouchers to students in difficult financial situations;
- these vouchers give them the opportunity to share a warm meal with fellow students at the Mensa.
The vouchers are credited directly to the students’ Campus Cards.
-
Study grants
Many students work to pay for their university studies, some of them working long hours. These professional experiences, whatever they may be, are generally positive and formative. However, they can be a burden to studies, or even a reason for dropping out, for those who must devote too much time to them.
Thanks to your support:
- a scholarship fund can be established to assist students who are facing financial difficulties;
- this fund is intended for master’s students who demonstrated strong commitment during their bachelor’s studies.
These subsidies take the form of scholarships, reductions in tuition fees or targeted, one-off support.
-
Student success
Uni-Social is actively involved in the success of students and has participated in the Rencontres Internationales francophones de la Réussite Étudiante (RIRE) since its inception in 2023.
Fribourg will host the next RIRE conference, scheduled for June 2027. The RIRE network brings together French-speaking stakeholders in student success to share information, resources, and experiences, and to develop joint projects addressing current and emerging issues.
Thanks to your support:
- a fund will be established to help implement the next Rencontres Internationales francophones de la Réussite Étudiante (RIRE) in Fribourg in 2027;
- this fund will contribute to the organization of the event.

Happy?
Each semester, the Uni-Social services at the University of Fribourg organize Happy ? days, an event dedicated to students’ wellbeing and mental health.
The goal is to bring to light the multifaceted physical, mental and emotional health of students. Happy? brings together mental health experts, institutional and community partners, as well as student initiatives, presenting available resources and practical coping mechanisms for stress, anxiety and everyday challenges.Thanks to your support:
- the mental health and overall wellbeing of students are placed at the heart of our activities;
- workshops, booths, screenings, discussions and festive evenings can be organized on campus for the entire university community;
- we are able to help prevent the risks of dropping out and academic failure.
Many similar ideas and projects are waiting for the opportunity to see the light of day thanks to your valuable contribution.

Chill & Break spaces
Chill & Break spaces
On campus, students study and work hard - so it’s even more important to find the right balance with moments of relaxation.
It is essential to provide spaces for informal exchanges to encourage creativity and strengthen communication. Thanks to these spaces, we aim to promote wellbeing, interaction and social connection - so that the campus remains a place where everyone feels comfortable and included.Thanks to your support:
- we can provide a table football or table tennis table for students;
- we can set up sun loungers that invite sttudents to take a relaxing break in a pleasant atmosphere.
With your financial contribution, you’re supporting today’s youth and tomorrow’s society.
