Prof. Barbara Hallensleben appointed to the "Ecumenical Working Group Pannonhalma"

The Pannonhalma Archabbey, founded in 996, was encouraged by Pope John Paul II to promote the ecumenical spirit and ecumenical theology in Hungary and to act as a bridge between Western and Eastern Europe. Archabbot Cirill Hortobágyi appointed Prof. Barbara Hallensleben, as director of the "Centre for the Study of the Eastern Churches", to this working group.

This year's ecumenical meeting of the abbey took place under the title: "Active Participation in Communion. Ecumenical Exchange of Experiences concerning the Chances of Synodality".
