The online conference on the important topic "Church and Pandemic" took place with two delegations from Rome and Moscow. On the Catholic side, the speakers were Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, and Archbishop Salvatore Fisichella, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelisation. Speakers for the Moscow Patriarchate were Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeyev), Head of the Department for External Church Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church, and Bishop Panteleimon (Shatov), President of the Department for Charity and Social Service, for reason of illness represented by his deputy hieromonk Panteleimon (Alyoshin).
