This workshop enables PhD students who are in the second half of their PhD programme to approach this crucial stage in the best possible way.

The workshop is open to PhD students from all faculties.

The workshop covers the following points:

• identifying the challenges of the thesis defence (objectives, expectations, etc.)
• preparing for the session
• preparing the presentation (general aspects)
• anticipating questions from the jury and the debate/discussion
• exchanging best practices and asking questions

The workshop will be held in French, but participation in German or English is welcome. We are also offering a workshop in German on 2 October 2026.
