    Description

This course provides an in-depth introduction to the interdisciplinary field of social neuroscience. It explores how brain systems, hormones, genetics, and cognitive processes shape human social behavior, emotions, relationships, identity, and moral decision-making. Students will examine the neural mechanisms underlying (among other phenomena) empathy, prejudice, trust, cooperation, and loneliness based on contemporary research methods such as fMRI, EEG, psychophysiology, and behavioral experiments.

Through lectures, discussions, case studies, and research analysis, students will develop critical thinking skills and gain an understanding of how neuroscience contributes to the study of human social interaction and behavior.
