Description	This block seminar provides an introduction to central topics and current research in criminal psychology. It examines psychological explanations for the causes and developmental trajectories of criminal behavior. We will look into various forms of crime (i.a. juvenile crime, women as offenders), the application of criminal psychological knowledge to police practice (risk assessment, crime prevention) and offender rehabilitation. All topics will be discussed in light of current empirical research and ongoing criminal policy debates. Assessment will be based on a written exam at the end of the seminar.
