    Description

    A course for master’s psychology students that links theories of work–life conflict and care work with qualitative research practice. Students learn to design studies, conduct interviews, analyze data, and communicate findings.

    Training objectives

    Specific objectives:

    • Explain key theoretical frameworks of work–life conflict and care work and formulate researchable questions from them.
    • Design a qualitative study (sampling, recruitment, consent, data management) that meets ethical and data-protection standards.
    • Develop and pilot semi-structured interview guides; conduct high-quality interviews.
    • Analyze interview data, code, build, and iterate a codebook.
    • Maintain reflexivity through analytic memos; evaluate trustworthiness and rigor using appropriate quality criteria.
    • Translate findings into implications for counseling practice, organizational interventions, and policy.
