The emergence of artificial intelligence and robots raise the question of the place of humans in relation to their natural and artificial environment. Transhumanists generally advocate using technology to unleash the full potential of human beings and even overcoming the natural boundaries of humans. Recently, theology critically considers these far reaching visions of transhumanism. Prof. Lorenz Sorgner is a trans- and posthumanist philosopher while Dr. Oliver Dürr dealt extensively with transhumanism from a Christian perspective
