Financial Support for Summer and Winter Schools

Professors organising a Summer or Winter School at the University of Fribourg are invited to submit a request for financial support.

Unifr can grant up to CHF 12'000 to support such programmes, provided that this sum does not exceed half of the total budget. 

Deadlines

There are two yearly deadlines on which to submit a request: 

• May 1^st for Winter Schools happening between January and February
• October 1^st for Summer Schools happening between June and September

Conditions

The conditions for a request to be eligible are detailed in the guidelines. Here is an overview of the major criteria:

1. The author of the request must be a professor employed at Unifr, and they must teach in the programme;
2. The programme must take place in or around Fribourg;
3. The concerned department must have approved the programme and the ECTS that may potentially be granted;
4. The programme must contribute to the internationalisation of Unifr, and it should, in principle, be of interdisciplinary nature. 

Submitting the Request

The following documents should be sent to international@unifr.ch:

1. The request form,
2. A short biography of each of the speakers,
3. The detailed budget,
4. A description of the programme and a detailed schedule.
