AI use in business world

This workshop will explore what AI is, and what it is not. It focuses on business world and how AI is being used in this domain (marketing, HR, operations, e-commerce, customer service, finance, etc.). Students will be able to explore popular AI tools used (ChatGPT, MidJourney/DALL·E, automation tools, data analysis tools), during exercises and group activities. 

Students will also be encouraged to consider the risks and ethical questions AI use can bring in the world of work.  

Objectives

  • Define what AI is and where it is applied in business world 

  • Identify risks, limitations, and ethical considerations of AI 

  • Explore practical AI tools (chatbots, productivity apps, data tools) 

  • Use prompting with AI tools 

  • Develop critical thinking about opportunities and challenges of AI in future careers 

Target audience

Students

Students from any disciplines who would like to understand and discover how AI is used in work domain, especially in business work, and explore the use of AI by practical activities and collaborative discussions. 

Prerequisites

  • Basic digital literacy (using a computer, browsing online tools).  

  • Personal computers (if possible, for group activities)
