Biographie

Regula Hänggli est professeure en communication politique à l'Université de Fribourg (Suisse). Ses travaux portent sur la démocratie (numérique), les débats publics, la formation de l'opinion et l'origine du dialogue dans les médias d'information. Avant de venir à Fribourg, elle était professeure à l'Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR). Elle a également été membre d'un groupe d'experts fédéral temporaire sur la transformation numérique de notre société.

Hänggli est titulaire d'un doctorat de l'Université de Zurich et d'une maîtrise en sciences politiques (matière principale) et en économie (matière secondaire) de l'Université de Berne. Ses recherches portent sur la communication politique dans une perspective comparative, les réformes institutionnelles et l'impact sociétal des changements technologiques.

Durant le semestre d'automne 2018, Hänggli a été chercheuse invitée à l'ETH de Zurich. Avant de venir à Fribourg, elle était professeure assistante à l'Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR). En 2008/2009, Hänggli a été chercheuse invitée à la Northwestern University, Evanston/USA, où elle a rendu visite au Prof. James Druckman.
