A2 Deutsch als Fremdsprache: hier!
Course contents and teaching method
The focus is on basic skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing), expanding vocabulary and grammar training. The lessons are activity-oriented. There are individual and group activities as well as presentation sequences. You do additional exercises and learn vocabulary at home.
Workload and evaluation
You should have about two hours for preparation and follow-up work.
Regular participation in the course (at least 80% attendance) is compulsory.
At the end of the semester there is a test on reading, listening, writing, vocabulary and grammar.

Objectives
Learners will have reached level A2.2 of the CEFR by the end of the course. This means:
- You can communicate in direct exchanges in simple and routine situations.
- You can understand the essentials in short, clear messages and announcements.
- You have a limited command of vocabulary and phrases related to concrete everyday needs.
- You can express liking and disliking and talk about the past.
- You can ask in writing for help with a move, thank someone for an invitation, and respond to a forum post.
Target audience
This course is for participants who have completed level A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Please only register if your level corresponds to the course. Participants of our partner institutions and Unifr employees can contact us to take a placement test if they are unsure of their level. Unifr students are automatically guided to the placement test when registering for a course on MyUnifr.
