Course contents and teaching method
The focus is on basic skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing), expanding vocabulary and grammar training.  The lessons are activity-oriented. There are individual and group activities as well as presentation sequences. You do additional exercises and learn vocabulary at home.

Workload and evaluation
You should have about two hours for preparation and follow-up work.
Regular participation in the course (at least 80% attendance) is compulsory.
At the end of the semester there is a test on reading, listening, writing, vocabulary and grammar.

If you have the textbook “Momente A2.1”, you can use it in the first half of the semester, for others the materials are available.

Objectives

The learners are at level A2 of the CEFR. This means:

• They can communicate in simple, routine situations.
• They have a limited command of vocabulary and expressions related to specific everyday needs.
• They can understand the essentials in short messages and write simple notes.

Target audience

This course is for participants who have completed part of level A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Please only register if your level corresponds to the course. Participants of our partner institutions and Unifr employees can contact us to take a placement test if they are unsure of their level. Unifr students are automatically guided to the placement test when registering for a course on MyUnifr.
