B2-C1 English Conversation

Course contents and teaching method
This course focusses on developing speaking skills (fluency and accuracy) and is highly communicative. Participants will work in pairs and small groups. We will discuss a new topic each week on themes including: news & media, health, human rights, education, culture, traditions... and many more. Come along and have fun practicing your English! 

Workload and evaluation
There is no homework or evaluation on this course.

Handouts are provided and all the course materials are available on Moodle. 

Objectives

By the end of the course, you will have developed your ability to:

  • follow and contribute to complex interactions in group discussion even on abstract, complex or unfamiliar topics.
  • keep up with an animated discussion between proficient users of the target language.
  • express ideas and opinions with precision, and present and respond to complex lines of argument convincingly.

Target audience

This course is for participants whose level corresponds to level B2 or C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Please only register if your level corresponds to the course. If you are unsure of your level, please contact us to take a placement test.
