Symposium at the University of Fribourg on March 18, 2026

The 2026 Symposium of Causal Inference in the Health Sciences did take place on March 18, 2026 at the University of Fribourg. This year’s symposium focused on AI and machine learning in causal inference for the health sciences and health economics, bringing together cutting-edge methodological advances and applied research. The programme featured invited keynote talks, flash poster presentations, and ample opportunities for networking and collaboration. Keynote Speakers included Dr. Elsa Gautrain (University of Fribourg), Prof. Jana Mareckova (University of St. Gallen), Prof. Jonas Peters (ETH Zurich), and Dr. Aurélien Sallin (SWICA and University of St. Gallen).
