Innosuisse
Innosuisse is the Swiss Innovation Agency.
- Innosuisse promotes science-based innovation in the interests of industry and society in Switzerland.
- Innosuisse finances different types of innovation projects, including as well research collaborations between the University and companies.
- Innosuisse also support SMEs wishing to collaborate with universities with dedicated coaches for setting up an innovation project.
Application form for a mentoring Partner Support and/or Application Support voucher
UNIFR researchers are required to track the hours spent on these projects and to use the gross salary method for reporting to Innosuisse.
Fribourg Development Agency FDA (Promotion Economique / Wirtschaftsförderung)
For SMEs and start-ups in the Canton of Fribourg, one can in addition apply for an incentive program from the FDA that may cover up to 50% of the company’s costs (max CHF 100,000) for R&D projects (Innosuisse projects, or projects validated by an expert).

Euresearch Regional Office
Enterprises based in the Cantons of Fribourg and Valais can get advice and support for their participation in the European Research Programme from the Euresearch Promotion Service of the University of Fribourg.

FriUP
Fri UP is the official supporting body for business creation in the canton of Fribourg. Its mission is to advise anyone who wants to start a business and to support the most innovative projects.
