A distinctive feature of the institute is its collaborative management structure.
The Director of the IDCMI, Prof. Dr. Sina Blassnig, is a member of the academic staff of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Fribourg and, within the framework of the collaborative management structure, is specifically responsible for research matters.
The associate director, Dr. Wolfgang Schäfer, is a member of the teaching staff at the Institute for Multimedia Production at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons (FHGR) and, within the framework of the collaborative directorship, is specifically responsible for managing the jointly offered Master’s programme ‘Digital Communication and Creative Media Production’ as well as for connections to the research community at the FHGR.
