PhD student Johannes Pohlner from the Mineralogy group presented a poster during this year's European Mineralogical Congress, which won the Paul Ramdohr Prize of the German Mineralogical Society (DMG) as well as the poster prize of the European Mineralogical Union (EMU). The poster entitled "Inter-mineral Fe isotope fractionation in eclogites of the Münchberg Massif (Germany) as a function of oxidation state" presented ongoing work about the behaviour of iron isotopes in common high-pressure minerals such as garnet and omphacite, in collaboration with researchers from Geneva, Bayreuth and Erlangen.
