The scientific committee

The scientific committee for the collections on Languages, Literatures and Music of the Cantonal and University Library is a standing university committee appointed by the Rectorate. It exercises scientific oversight of the collections on Languages, Literatures and Music, in particular by ensuring that its services comply with those of university documentation centres.

The committee meets at least once a year to discuss and decide on matters relating to acquisition policy, the cancellation of journal subscriptions and access to electronic resources, and proposals concerning the acquisition budget in the fields of languages, literature and musicology. It is composed of members from the academic institutions served by the collections on Languages, Literatures and Music, as well as members from all academic bodies.
