Apply now for the 12th LSGL Summer School in Bogotá, Colombia


The 12th Law Schools Global League Summer School will take place from 8 to 19 July 2024 at the Universidad de los Andes Law School, Bogota, Colombia. 

The Law Schools Global League is an innovative network of 32 Law Schools from all over the world stimulating cooperation in education and research with a global focus among its members. The summer school is hosted every year by a different member institution with new courses. Fribourg Faculty of Law is part of the League since 2016. 

This year's programme will consist of the following courses: 
    •    Protest, Policing and Social Contestation 
    •    Inequality and Climate Change 
    •    Fiscal Sociology: Comparative Perspectives on Taxation, Law and Inequality 
    •    The Roe of The Constitution in Bringing Socio-Economic Equality and Protecting Vulnerable Groups: a dialogue between South Africa and Latin America

The University of Fribourg may nominate 1 Student (possibly 2) to take part in this unique and exciting summer school. Participants must have completed their Bachelor of Law studies at the University of Fribourg and be proficient in English (B2/C1 level). 

Tuition: 1’000 € per participant from Fribourg including courses, some social and / or cultural activities and light lunch on lecture days. A grant in form of a tax waiver of 500 € is offered to both selected students. Participation gives 4 ECTS which are validated as Special credits.
