The second edition of the three-day PhD Symposium in Food, Nutrition & Health, organized by the Food Research & Innovation Center (FRIC), took place at Schwarzsee from 31 August to 2 September 2026. The symposium brought together 11 PhD students from different academic backgrounds and disciplines at the University of Fribourg.

The programme combined scientific presentations and discussions with sessions focusing on academic writing, the use of artificial intelligence in research, and interdisciplinary exchange. Group activities and informal discussions provided additional opportunities for participants to share perspectives and develop connections across disciplines.

The symposium is part of the activities of the Food Research & Innovation Center (FRIC) and aims to support interdisciplinary exchange and networking among PhD students working in different fields.
