Target audience
This course is open to all students and employees of the University of Fribourg and partner institutions with upper intermediate (B2) to advanced (C1) English language skills.

Course contents and teaching method
This course focusses on developing speaking skills (fluency and accuracy) and is highly communicative. Participants will work in pairs and small groups. We will discuss a new topic each week on themes including: news & media, health, human rights, education, culture, traditions... and many more. Come along and have fun practicing your English! 

Workload and evaluation
There is no homework or evaluation on this course.

Handouts are provided and all the course materials are available on Moodle. 

Objectifs

By the end of the course, you will have developed your ability to:

• follow and contribute to complex interactions in group discussion even on abstract, complex or unfamiliar topics.
• keep up with an animated discussion between proficient users of the target language.
• express ideas and opinions with precision, and present and respond to complex lines of argument convincingly.

Ce cours s'adresse aux personnes dont le niveau correspond aux niveaux B2 ou C1 du Cadre européen commun de référence pour les langues. Merci de vous inscrire uniquement si ce cours correspond à votre niveau. Si vous n'êtes pas sûr·e de votre niveau, merci de nous contacter pour faire un test de placement.
