Thirty-four students from five universities (the University of Fribourg, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, the University of Messina, the University of Beira Interior, and the West University of Timișoara) took part in this year's Summer School in Timișoara.

Over the course of one week, students worked in international teams and explored the city through anthropological approaches to urban life. Guided by six professors, they engaged with ethnographic methods and explored the city through walking, observation, multisensory research, and other forms of urban fieldwork.

The Summer School offered students an opportunity to experience the city as a fieldsite: to observe its everyday rhythms, explore its spaces, and reflect on the social and urban concerns that shape life in Timișoara.
