The Council of the European Union (often referred to simply as ‘the Council’) is a key EU decision-maker. It brings together the ministers of the 27 EU countries. The Council negotiates and adopts EU legislation and coordinates certain policies. It also:
• adopts the EU budget,
• concludes international agreements on behalf of the EU,
• develops the EU's foreign and security policy.

Twice a year, the Council of the European Union (EU) provides 5-month paid traineeships in Brussels for EU citizens. These traineeship programmes offer first-hand experience of how the Council and the EU work. Around 110 paid traineeship positions are available each year, in different areas (policy, law, administration, communications, IT, etc.).

On the 13th of November at 12h15, join the 45 minutes online information session in English to find out more about these opportunities, the application periods & procedure, the requirements, the benefits, etc. Your questions will be welcome.

The session is aimed at students, PhD candidates and graduates from all the faculties. Only the citizens of the 27 countries of the EU are eligible to the traineeship programmes of the Council.

Boost your career with an experience in a multicultural environment! Enhance your CV with a fascinating training opportunity within a major body of the European Union.
